Avello Group – 5 Year Painter’s Workmanship Warranty
This Workmanship Warranty (“Warranty”) applies to services provided by Avello Group and is subject to the terms outlined below. The benefits of this Warranty are in addition to any rights and remedies available under applicable law, including the Australian Consumer Law.
Warranty Coverage
Avello Group warrants that the coating system applied will not peel, flake or blister for a period of five (5) years from the date of practical completion, where such failure is a direct result of faulty surface preparation or application. This Warranty applies strictly to workmanship only.
Conditions of Warranty
This Warranty is conditional upon:
The building and coated surfaces being washed and maintained at minimum 12-month intervals to remove dirt, contaminants, mould, and pollutants.
The coated surfaces being used under normal environmental and service conditions.
Full payment of all contracted works being received. Failure to meet the above maintenance requirements will void this Warranty.
Exclusions
This Warranty does not cover:
Timber surfaces
Stained or clear-coated surfaces
Rustor corrosion, including recurrence
Access costs of any kind (including scaffolding, elevated work platforms, rope accessor traffic management)
Any areas not painted as part of the original contract
In addition, this Warranty does not cover:
Failure caused by movement, structural cracking, substrate failure, dampness or deterioration of the building elements
Faulty building design or construction
Damage caused by external factors including weather events, excessive heat, impact or misuse
Any issue arising from causes outside the reasonable control of Avello Group
Making a Claim
To make a claim under this Warranty, the Customer must provide written notice to Avello Group within 14 days of becoming aware of the issue, including:
Project details and location
Date of completion
Description and photos of the issue
Limitation of Liability
Avello Group’s liability under this Warranty is limited, at its discretion, to one of the following:
Repair of the affected coating system;
Payment of the reasonable cost of labour to repair; or
Refund of the labour component of the original works.
Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a remedy for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have services rectified if they fail to be provided with due care and skill.
General
This Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original Customer.
This Warranty applies to workmanship only and does not cover materials.
This Warranty supersedes all prior discussions or representations relating to workmanship warranty.
