Avello Group was engaged by Quest Apartments to deliver a multi-level interior repainting program at Quest Ivanhoe, a live hotel operating continuously throughout the project.

The objective was to refresh and uplift the internal presentation of the building while maintaining uninterrupted hotel operations, guest comfort and safety at all times.

Scope of Works

The works were delivered in a staged program and included:

• Repainting of corridors and common areas across multiple levels
• Feature wall treatments and touch-up detailing
• Door, frame and skirting repainting
• Patch repairs and surface preparation prior to painting
• Final QA inspections and defect close-out

Live Environment Methodology

Working within an active hotel required careful planning and communication. Avello implemented a tailored methodology to minimise disruption and maintain high guest satisfaction, including:

• Staged floor-by-floor works aligned with hotel occupancy
• Low-odour, fast-drying coating systems
• Strict noise, dust and access controls
• Daily coordination with hotel management
• After-hours and off-peak work scheduling where required

This approach ensured the hotel remained fully operational while achieving a high-quality finish throughout.

Safety & Quality Assurance

Avello maintained strict safety and quality controls throughout the project, including:

• Site-specific SWMS and risk assessments
• Public interface management
• Daily housekeeping and worksite reinstatement
• QA checklists and sign-off per level
• Defect-free handover with minimal post-completion touch-ups
