Project Overview

Avello Group's Rope Access Painting team was engaged to carry out the full exterior repaint of the strata complex at 284-286 Highett Road, Highett. Rope access was used to safely and efficiently reach all elevations of the building, allowing works to be carried out with precision while avoiding the need for scaffolding. The project was executed with minimal disruption to residents, with the team working carefully around everyday activity on site to deliver a high-quality, long-lasting finish.

Scope of Works

• Full exterior repaint across all elevations using rope access
• Surface preparation including removal of flaking or failed paintwork, filling of cracks and imperfections, and sanding of surfaces
• Pressure washing of all exterior surfaces prior to preparation and painting
• Careful management of access and work areas to minimise disruption to residents throughout the project
• Site set-up, rigging and safety planning maintained throughout all rope access works
• Quality checks carried out across each elevation to ensure a consistent, high-quality finish

Outcome

The completed repaint has refreshed the building's street presence while demonstrating the efficiency and precision of rope access as an alternative to traditional scaffold-based methods—delivered with minimal impact on residents' day-to-day.
