Project Overview

Avello Group was engaged by Catholic Regional College to deliver a comprehensive interior and exterior painting program across multiple buildings within the campus, scheduled specifically during the school holiday period to avoid disruption to staff and students.

The program formed part of the College’s broader asset maintenance and presentation strategy, aimed at refreshing learning environments while extending the lifespan of existing building finishes.

Scope of Works

The works included painting across several buildings and zones, comprising:

• External repainting of selected façades and architectural elements
• Internal painting of classrooms, corridors, administration areas and common spaces
• Surface preparation, patching and minor remedial works
• Application of low-VOC, education-compliant coating systems
• Final detailing, touch-ups and defect clearance prior to handover

Methodology & Holiday Delivery

Given the tight timeframe associated with the school holiday shutdown, Avello developed a staged and highly coordinated program to ensure all works were completed prior to student return.

Key delivery elements included:

• Detailed pre-holiday planning and programming
• Segmentation of buildings into work zones to maximise productivity
• Extended work hours and additional labour resources
• Daily progress tracking and QA checks
• Final walkthroughs with client representatives before handover
